Differences between Traffic Warning Lights and Regular Traffic Signal Lights
1. Color Differences:
Regular Traffic Signal Lights: Use red, yellow, and green to represent "No Entry," "Warning," and "Permission to Proceed," respectively.
Warning Lights: Dedicated yellow flashing lights, fixed in color yellow, and conforming to the yellow flashing range specified in GB24965.2-2010 on the chromaticity coordinates.
2. Flashing Pattern Differences:
Regular Traffic Signal Lights: The yellow light is constantly on (or flashes briefly, only used to indicate an upcoming light change), serving as a warning at intersections.
Warning Lights: Use a continuously flashing yellow light source, typically at a frequency of 1Hz~2Hz, creating a clear visual stimulus to alert drivers to dangerous sections of the road.
3. Applicable Scenarios:
Regular Traffic Signal Lights: Fixed at intersections, crosswalks, and other traffic control points, subject to unified traffic regulations. Warning lights: Used on dangerous road sections, construction sites, temporarily closed areas, or road maintenance areas, emphasizing "Caution: Slow Down Before Passing".
4. Standards and Technical Requirements
Ordinary traffic lights: Comply with the "Technical Specifications for Road Traffic Signals," with unified regulations for color, brightness, and visibility distance.
Warning lights: Based on GB24965.2-2010, specifying technical indicators such as lamp body composition, luminous intensity range (600cd-3000cd during the day, 150cd-300cd at night), and color coordinates.
